Dan Riser

A leader in the health and fitness industry for over 15 years, Dan Riser is a nationally renowned and respected fitness professional. Dan received his Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science from Lock Haven University in addition to earning certifications through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and American Council on Exercise. Dan has addressed corporate, entertainment and small business audiences throughout the country with his dynamically motivating seminars and workshops. His expertise enabled him to reach millions of exercisers as a cast member on ESPN's #1 rated fitness show Flex Appeal.

Dan's professional experience and specialties range from general fitness and weight-loss to post-rehabilitation, physical therapy and elite athlete training. His ability to connect and identify with his clients' needs while educating and motivating them to go above and beyond their own expectations is second to none

Stephen Vaught

Stephen received his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Virginia Tech where he served as a Co-Director of Personal Training for the University's personal training program. Additionally, while at Virginia Tech, Stephen served as the Strength Training Program Coordinator for the University's Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. Stephen has over 12 years experience working with clients of all ages, fitness levels and medical histories. Stephen is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise and a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor through the Titleist Performance Institute.

Before founding API in June 2004, Stephen served as the Fitness Director and Personal Training Coordinator at the Skyline Sport & Health Club (Falls Church, VA) and the Annapolis Athletic Club (Annapolis, MD

Maria Ulbricht

Maria, a graduate of Catholic University of America, has extensive experience in the health and fitness industry. Maria is a Certified Yoga Instructor (Yogafit), a Certified Pilates Instructor (Body College) and a Certified Personal Trainer (ACE). In addition, Maria holds Kickboxing, Reebok Step, Spinning and Group Fitness Instructor certifications from various organizations. Maria, a former professional dancer, has competed in numerous open water Olympic distance triathlons. Maria believes that varying workouts keeps them exciting and effective and encourages all clients to always try something new in their health, fitness and wellness program.

Tom Sczepanski

Tom has over twenty-eight years of professional experience. Over the last eighteen, he has had a close professional relationship with the physicians at the Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center. Educationally, Tom has extensive clinical training culminating with an Advanced Master Degree. His clinical focus is in the treatment Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine injuries. Tom is recognized by the America Physical Therapy Association as a Board Certified Specialist in both of these areas of clinical care. This dual credential has been achieved only by a limited number of clinicians.

Tom is a Certified Athletic Trainer and member of the United States Sports Medicine Society as well as a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He has rehabilitated and provided training services to youth, scholastic, collegiate, and senior athletes as well as elite Olympic athletes. Tom has been a member of the Sports Medicine Team at the Olympic training camp, the World University Games and the Olympics. Locally, he provided athletic training services at Severn School for of number of years and was instrumental in setting the foundation for the schools current full-time athletic training program.

Terri Arnold

Terri holds countless professional fitness titles including a Certified Personal Trainer (ACE), a Certified Group Fitness Instructor (ACE), and a Certified Yoga Instructor (AAAI/ISMA). In addition, Terri holds Spinning, Water Aerobics and Arthritis Specific certifications from various organizations. Terri, an avid fitness enthusiast, believes that the benefits of activity go beyond what is visible to the eye-not just the body, but the mind and spirit are transformed. Terri feels blessed to support, inspire and educate her clients along their personal journey towards health, fitness and wellness.

Kristen Jakubac

Kristen received her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Towson University. Kristen is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Certified Track and Field Coach through the US Track and Field Association. Kristen, a competitive Tri-Athlete, believes that exercise should be FUN and that exercise, combined with proper nutrition and a healthy lifestyle, will maximize health benefits.
