Jan St. Lawrence, Yoga InstructorJan sprinted into the fitness world as a means of surviving motherhood. Determined to cope with the physical and mental stress of daily living, she embraced the world of Yoga. Jan is currently an RYT with Yoga Alliance. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer (ACE) and Group Fitness Instructor (AFAA). Jan has had the opportunity to train with golf fitness guru, Katherine Roberts to help overcome physical limitations that affect the golf swing. Locally, she focuses the majority of her attention with athletes, integrating Yoga conditioning with classic training. Training with Jan is "always educational, physically challenging and entertaining". Jan giggles and notes, that most people still stereotype Yoga to be about tofu eating, tree hugging, chanting and incense burning. Jan suggests that most people need to step out of their own mind and realize the physical benefits of Yoga are out of this world - "everyday I wake up and feel like I have found the fountain of youth."
